“Film House” was funded at the beginning of 2009 by director Aida Begić and DoP Erol Zubčević. It is an Art Centre specialised in film production and education. Our goal is the promotion of Bosnian film and culture through film projects based on co-productions. We believe that exchanging ideas with people from all over the World will help to develop that new and fresh style already announced in Begić’s first feature film Snow. Since many film professions are becoming endangered in Bosnia, an intention is to animate young generation of artists to join the incentive and learn from more experienced filmmakers. The film professionals engaged already made many documentaries, videos and TV projects together and several successful films (Snow, long feature presented at Cannes Film Festival 2008 won more than 20 festival awards and nominations; First Death Experience, short fiction presented at Cannes Film Festival-Cinefondation 2001 and awarded in festivals all over the world; North Went Mad, short fiction presented in more than 15 film festivals, 2003 and 2004).
